John Rockefeller Jr, contributed so much to the development of Acadia National Park. Especially important to the park we enjoy today, are the numerous granite-faced carriage road bridges that fit so well with their natural surrounding. This photo shows a light colored granite tri arch bridge that carries the carriage road over noisy duck brook as it cascades over the rocks below. This bridge feels part castle, part work of art. The setting is lovely. There is an amazing variety of trees in this part of the forest. The fall colors here are magnificent for their variety and vibrance.
